Class Information:

• Students in grade 1 with limited or no math competition experience are invited to join this Exploring course.
• In this course, students will build a strong foundation in essential Grade 1 math concepts through engaging activities and Level 1–2 Math Kangaroo-style problems. Topics include counting and number patterns, place value, addition and subtraction strategies, 2D and 3D geometry, telling time and using calendars, money, basic fractions, measurement, graphs, and developing logical thinking through fun, real-world problem-solving.
• Homework for this course will be problems similar to those seen in class to reinforce the use of the strategies taught each week.
• This class will meet 10 times for 1 hour each.
• The class size: 12 students.

Class Information:

• In this course, students will strengthen their mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills through engaging activities and Level 1–2 Math Kangaroo problems. Topics include mathematical patterns in motion, comparing and ordering quantities, spatial reasoning, measurement, story problems, age and time relationships, three-dimensional solids, balancing equations, logical reasoning, and the application of a structured 4-step problem-solving method while preparing with a 2022 Kangaroo test.
• Homework for this course will be problems similar to those seen in class to reinforce the use of the strategies taught each week.
• This class will meet 10 times for 1 hour each.

Class Information:

• Students in Grade 3 or 4 who enjoy challenging mathematical thinking and problem solving, but may have limited contest experience, are invited to join this introductory Navigating course.
• In this course, students will develop their mathematical reasoning and problem-solving abilities through engaging activities and Level 3–4 Math Kangaroo-style problems. Topics include multi-step story problems, the four operations, fractions, geometry, symmetry, spatial reasoning, rotations and perspectives, logical deduction, and time-related challenges.
• This course provides a challenging yet supportive environment where students are encouraged to think creatively, explain their reasoning, and persevere through complex problems.
• Homework for this course will be problems similar to those seen in class to reinforce the use of the strategies taught each week.
• This class will meet 10 times for 1 hour each.

Class Information:

• Students in Grade 3 or 4 with significant math competition experience,  who are eager to challenge themselves through advanced problem solving and Math Kangaroo preparation, are invited to join this Navigating course.  This course is for students already confident with multi-step word problems.
• In this course, students will strengthen their mathematical thinking and competition skills through engaging activities and Level 3–4 Math Kangaroo problems. Students will learn and practice a variety of powerful problem-solving strategies, including finding patterns, drawing diagrams, identifying all possible outcomes, logical reasoning, and working with time, calendars, geometry, and missing-value problems.
• This fast-paced and challenging course is designed to help students develop confidence, persistence, and flexibility when solving non-routine mathematical problems.
• Homework for this course will consist of problems similar to those discussed in class to reinforce the strategies and techniques taught each week.

• Students in Grade 5 or 6 with strong classroom math skills who want to gain the creative thinking needed for Math Kangaroo and other mathematics competitions, are invited to join this Discovering course. Learn the new skills needed to successfully progress beyond Math Kangaroo Level 3-4.
• In this course, students will deepen their mathematical reasoning and advanced problem-solving skills through challenging Level 5–6 Math Kangaroo problems. Topics include: number sense, fractions, algebraic thinking, logical reasoning, geometry and mental visualization.
• Students will learn when and how to apply a variety of powerful problem-solving strategies, developing both efficiency and flexibility when approaching unfamiliar competition problems.
• Homework for this course will consist of problems similar to those explored in class to reinforce the strategies and techniques taught each week.
• This class will meet 10 times for 1 hour each.

• Students in Grade 5 or 6 with significant math competition experience, ready to compete at a high level in Math Kangaroo and other mathematics competitions, are invited to join the Discovering course.
• In this course, students will deepen their mathematical reasoning and advanced problem-solving skills through challenging Level 5–6 Math Kangaroo problems. Topics include patterns, algebraic thinking, visual problem solving, organized lists and tables, working backwards, logical reasoning, statistics and probability, geometry, and the strategic combination of multiple problem-solving tools.
• Students will learn when and how to apply a variety of powerful problem-solving strategies, developing both efficiency and flexibility when approaching unfamiliar competition problems.
• Homework for this course will consist of problems similar to those explored in class to reinforce the strategies and techniques taught each week.
• This class will meet 10 times for 1 hour each.

• Students in Grade 7 or 8 who would like to challenge themselves beyond school math and prepare themselves for Math Kangaroo and other mathematics competitions, are invited to join the Investigating class.
• In this course, students will strengthen their mathematical reasoning through challenging problems that build fluency with number theory, fractions and decimals, ratios and proportions, algebra, and geometry. Students will explore key mathematical concepts while learning to apply them in non-routine and competition-style settings.
• Emphasis will be placed on logical thinking, strategic problem solving, mathematical communication, and the ability to connect concepts across different areas of mathematics.
• Homework for this course will consist of problems similar to those discussed in class to reinforce the concepts and strategies introduced each week.

• Students in Grade 7 or 8 who have prior math competition experience, or who are interested in developing advanced mathematical thinking and preparing for Math Kangaroo and other mathematics competitions, are invited to join the Investigating class.
• In this course, students will deepen their understanding of number theory, rational numbers, algebra, ratios, averages, and geometry through challenging problem-solving activities and competition-style questions. Students will learn to apply mathematical concepts strategically while developing accuracy, efficiency, and flexibility in their thinking.
• The course emphasizes mathematical reasoning, logical analysis, pattern recognition, and the ability to solve complex, multi-step problems using a variety of approaches.
