Registration for Math Kangaroo 2025

Regular registration: Sep 15 – Dec 31, 2024

Late registration: Jan 1 – Feb 1, 2025

FOR STUDENTS INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING AT A REGISTERED CENTER (In-Class or Online):

Students may register at a center located within the state where they reside.
The Math Kangaroo Office will send a mathematical gift and participation ribbon to the center manager, who will distribute them to all registered students on the competition day.

To participate:

  • If your school is enrolled in MK2025, ask your school for the invitation code.
  • If your school is not yet enrolled, encourage them to sign up.
  • Alternatively, you can find a public center that accepts all students.

FOR STUDENTS INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING AT A VIRTUAL SELF-PROCTORED CENTER:

This option is ideal for students who want to independently test their mathematical skills without formal competition or proctoring.

  • Participation is self-proctored.
  • No gifts or awards are given.
  • While an official ranking won’t be provided, a ranking range for comparison with proctored students will be available.
  • A real test score will be provided.

This online test can be taken from any location with internet access on a designated day. Any student in the U.S., regardless of state or territory, is eligible to register.

General Information

Families are welcome to register their children for any center that is listed during the enrollment period from September to the end of December each year.
Teachers are welcome to bring the Math Kangaroo Competition to their schools (by December 15th each year).
Parents are welcome to bring the Math Kangaroo Competition to their children’s schools and manage the school center. See the Invitation letter.
Some schools limit enrollment to their students only and they are not visible on the registration page by others.
The registration fee is $18 per student ( Sep 15 – Dec 31).
The late registration fee is $35 per student ( Jan 1- Feb 1).
Level of participation is the student’s school grade level. Participation at levels lower than the actual school grade level is not allowed.
In some areas interest in participation is greater than the capacity of our centers. We advise parents to encourage schools to host the next Math Kangaroo Competition.
Parents are allowed to help the school administration to manage the competition.
Special accommodations need to be requested at the time of enrollment. Math Kangaroo may ask for documentation to support the request.
